I am an Assistant Professor of Economics at Korea University Business School. My research asks where economic preferences, cultural traits and institutions come from, and traces present-day differences in risk attitudes, family structure and innovation back to ancestral environments and institutions.  

I was previously a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard's Culture, Cognition and Coevolution Lab, and hold a PhD in Economics from Brown University. I work with large cross-country, historical and geospatial datasets in Stata, R, Python, MATLAB and ArcGIS.
